OUR COMMUNITY
OUR COMMITMENT TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES
At Maxis Projects, we believe strong communities are built through long-term partnerships, active involvement, and meaningful support.
We’re proud to contribute to initiatives across Murihiku / Southland that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and opportunity for people of all ages.
Below are some of the organisations and events we’re honoured to support.
Maxis Projects 6+6 Adventure Race
Maxis Projects has proudly held naming rights sponsorship of the 6+6 Adventure Race for the past seven years, reflecting our ongoing commitment to outdoor sport, teamwork, and community connection.
Our involvement runs even deeper: Director Nick Hamlin was a founding member of the event more than ten years ago. Since then, the race has grown into a flagship Southland event, encouraging participation, resilience, and collaboration across a wide range of competitors. Through our continued support, we help ensure the event remains accessible, well-run, and firmly embedded in the local calendar.
Southland Football
Maxis Projects has been a major supporter of Southland Football for over five years, contributing to both grassroots development and regional infrastructure. Our support has included funding sideline shelters, providing marquees for tournaments and events, and contributing to the major artificial turf replacement completed in April 2026.
This investment reflects our belief in creating high-quality sporting environments that support participation, performance, and the long-term growth of the game in Southland.
Inclusive Activity Murihiku (IAM)
We’re proud to support Inclusive Activity Murihiku (IAM), an organisation dedicated to creating sporting and recreational opportunities for children with disabilities. Our sponsorship supports initiatives such as the IAM Games and the Surf to City event, helping children of all abilities take part in inclusive, confidence-building experiences.
By supporting IAM, we aim to help remove barriers to participation and ensure all children can enjoy the physical, social, and emotional benefits of sport and activity.
Investing where it matters
Our local support is not a one-off contribution — it’s an ongoing investment in the people, organisations, and events that make our region thrive. Maxis Projects remains committed to backing initiatives that reflect our values of inclusion, teamwork, resilience, and community pride.
